Golden State once again showed why it remains a team to be feared when its leader, Stephen Curry, is on fire. With a brilliant performance from the three-point line, the point guard scored 56 points and nailed 12 three-pointers in the Warriors' 121-115 victory over the Orlando Magic. It was a night in which Curry made it clear that his shooting is still intact and that, even at 36, he remains one of the NBA's most lethal players.
A Tough Start For The Warriors, But A Third Quarter For History
The game did not start in the best way for Golden State. Orlando came in with a lot of intensity, imposing their game in the paint and taking control of the scoreboard quickly. Paolo Banchero led the Magic with an aggressive offense that left the Warriors on the ropes, building a lead as large as 17 points in the second quarter.
Despite the disadvantage, Curry remained patient. His first quarter was quiet with only five points, but he began to find his rhythm in the second half, scoring 16 points before the break. Just before the end of the first half, he hit a three-pointer from half court that ignited his team and left a feeling that the comeback was on its way.
If there is one thing that has characterized Curry throughout his career, it is his ability to change the course of a game in a matter of minutes, and this time was no exception. In the third quarter, the point guard exploded for 22 points and made nine of his 12 three-pointers before the start of the final period. His accuracy was lethal and the Warriors took advantage of his streak to turn the scoreboard around with a 41-20 partial in the third quarter.
While Curry shredded the opposing defense from the perimeter, Golden State also improved on the defensive end, limiting Orlando to just 21 points in the third period. Draymond Green and the rest of the team tightened up on defense, closing space and forcing the Magic into mistakes. The comeback was complete and the Warriors were now in control of the game.
Closing With Authority And Records in Sight
With the lead in their favor, Golden State knew how to manage the last quarter without losing the rhythm. Curry continued to be on fire and added another 13 points, securing the victory for his team. In total, he finished with 56 units, signing his fourth best game in terms of scoring in his career.
Beyond the impressive number of points, what stood out most was his effectiveness: he hit 16 of 25 shots from the field, including 12 of 19 from the three-point line, and was an impeccable 12 of 12 on free throws. He was just one three-pointer away from equaling his personal record for shots from the perimeter in a single game and six points away from his best scoring mark of 62.
In addition, this was his 26th game with at least 10 three-pointers, something no one else has accomplished in NBA history. Teammate Klay Thompson still leads the list for most three-pointers in a single game with 14, but Curry continues to show why he is the best shooter the league has ever seen.

Warriors on a roll and Magic with no answers
With this victory, Golden State added its fifth consecutive win and seventh in its last eight games, a streak that has coincided with the arrival of Jimmy Butler to the team. Although Butler had a discreet performance with only five points, he contributed seven assists and showed his experience in the key moments of the game.
On the Magic's side, Paolo Banchero was the team's best scorer with 41 points and six rebounds, followed by Franz Wagner, who contributed 27. However, Orlando could not sustain the advantage and ended up paying dearly for its lack of precision in the decisive moments.
With this result, the Warriors are in eighth place in the Western Conference with a 32-27 record, while the Magic, seventh in the East, have lost 14 of their last 20 games and need to improve if they want to stay in the playoff hunt.
Curry once again made it clear that his magic is still intact and that, when he is at his best, the Warriors always have a chance to win. His performance in Orlando was one more for the history books, consolidating him as the best shooter of all time and the undisputed engine of Golden State.
