Paris Saint-Germain experienced the greatest moment in its history by lifting the Champions League trophy for the first time after a dominant performance against Inter Milan. At the Allianz Arena in Munich, the French team was a steamroller and sealed the title with a resounding 5-0 win that will remain in the memory of their fans. Under the guidance of Luis Enrique and with a choral, fast and effective soccer, PSG left an Italian team that never managed to get into the game without any answers.
PSG Impose Their Style From The Start
From the start, Paris made it clear that it was determined to do everything. With control of the ball, constant mobility in attack and a very well positioned defense, the French team was imposing its conditions unhurriedly but with authority. While Inter tried to retreat and wait for an opportunity to counterattack, the Parisians were weaving elaborate plays that began to put the rival defense in trouble.
The first blow came after 12 minutes, with a move that started on the left flank and found Désiré Doué and Achraf Hakimi well positioned in the box. The Moroccan, with a past at Inter, pushed the ball in to open the scoring in a textbook move. Shortly after, a quick recovery allowed Dembélé to launch a perfect cross for Doué to score the second, with some help from Federico Dimarco.
After just 20 minutes, PSG were already 2-0 up and had taken full control of the final. The Italian team offered little resistance and the atmosphere in Munich was tinged blue and red with chants and flares from the French fans.
Inter Unresponsive Against An Overwhelming PSG
Inter Milan, coached by Simone Inzaghi, tried to react from set pieces, but to no avail. Neither Marcus Thuram nor Francesco Acerbi were able to generate real danger. Meanwhile, Luis Enrique kept his players concentrated and focused, without falling into the euphoria of the scoreboard.
Before the break, PSG had at least three clear chances to extend their lead. Doué and Kvaratskhelia both had half-chances, while Dembélé missed a clear-cut chance inside the box. Despite failing to convert those chances, the dominance was total and the 2-0 lead at halftime seemed short.
In the second half, the Italian team came out with more energy, but it quickly became clear that they had no way to reverse the situation. Barella and Lautaro Martinez were well contained, and the changes Inzaghi tried to make had no effect. PSG, on the other hand, continued to show great efficiency.
Doué Shines With A Double As PSG Signs A Historic Coup
Désiré Doué, just 18 years old, was one of the undisputed stars of the night. In the 58th minute, he completed his brace with a great team move started by Dembélé with a backheel and ended with a perfect pass from Vitinha. The young striker calmly finished and crowned a stellar performance that consecrated him on the highest European stage.
It wasn't long before Kvaratskhelia, another of PSG's notable reinforcements, added his name to the list of scorers. The Georgian took advantage of space behind the Italian defense to score the fourth goal, exposing Inter's defensive frailties.
With the game completely settled, Luis Enrique brought on a few youngsters, including Senny Mayulu, who closed the scoring in the 86th minute with the fifth goal of the night. A move that summed up the Parisian superiority: quick touches, mobility and an accurate finish.

A Title That Marks An Era For PSG
With this victory, PSG not only wins its first Champions League, but does so with a defined style of play and without relying on stars like Kylian Mbappé, who is no longer part of the team. Luis Enrique has built a solid and balanced group, where each player understands his role. The result is a more mature and collective version of the club that for years was singled out for failing at key moments.
The treble achieved this season - league, cup and Champions League - puts PSG in the European elite for good. In addition, Luis Enrique becomes only the second coach to win the Champions League with two different teams, after winning it with Barcelona in 2015.
The 5-0 thrashing of Inter is the biggest difference in a European Cup final since its inception. Beyond the scoreline, it was a total soccer exhibition, where PSG showed defensive solidity, offensive creativity and a maturity that had been lacking in previous editions.
While Inter leave empty-handed, repeating the frustration of the final lost in 2023, PSG celebrate in style. On a magical night in Munich, the Parisians finally won the "Orejona" and did so with one of the best performances in the history of the finals.
