From February 14-16, San Francisco will be the epicenter of world basketball as it hosts the highly anticipated NBA All-Star Weekend, an event that promises to captivate fans with a mix of traditional and innovative dynamics that will elevate the excitement to new heights.
This year, the NBA All-Star Game features a revolutionary format: instead of the traditional teams divided into Eastern and Western Conferences, players will face off in a series of games between four teams: Team Shaq, Team Chuck, Team Kenny and Team Candace. For the first time in its 74-year history, the All-Star Game will feature a semifinal structure that will culminate in a grand finale to determine the champion.

Format and awards
The event will have a unique structure. The top two teams will face each other in a semifinal (Game 1), while the other two will compete in the second semifinal (Game 2). The winners of both games will advance to the final (Game 3), where the team that reaches or surpasses 40 points first will be the winner.
The accumulated prize is $1.8 million, distributed as follows:
- The players of the champion team will receive $125,000 each.
- The players of the runner-up team will receive US$50,000.
- The players of the teams eliminated in the semifinals will receive US$25,000.
